Issues that are important to all of us. I try to weed through the bullshit to get to the stories that should be seen. This site is for reasonable critical thinking minds. Everything on this BLOG is true to my knowledge. The word "bullshit" does not imply that anything you read here is bullshit.

Believing in Yourself
Do you know where the word Atheist was first used?
Well you find this amazing but it was the Romans who first used the word. The word was to describe those who would not worship the Emperor. Those who chose to worship other Gods were labeled Atheists. This includes Christians.
Many Christians were labeled as Atheists and executed for what they believed....
So the next time someone tries to call you an Atheist. Ask them if they even know where the word originated from....
I find fascinating how words are taken from others and made truth. I am also amazed at how many don't know the true meaning of many words.
The word "sin" is another one. Christians will throw this word around like it is such a horrible thing. The word was first used in Archery which meant to miss the mark....a mistake....
Religious people think sin is a horrible thing you cannot change and only God can fix your sins. Well if sin is simply a mistake, and we are beings that learn from our mistakes, this is a false belief.
It's time for people to stop looking to the sky for a savior and see that the savior is inside them. It is up to us to change our world. Free Will......no God, Christ, or Messiah is coming from the sky to save certain people....
If we do not start believing in ourselves, we will destroy ourselves. And when the nukes go off, I hope I am around Christians to ask them, "um what you doing here? I thought the rapture had your back!"
You want something to believe in? How about yourself for once in your life. You will be amazed at what you can accomplish when you take responsibility for your own actions and stop blaming them on some red little creature with horns and a tail....
Be human....make mistakes or sin and learn....its our nature....

We Have Come to Bring You Peace
Esther Sparks of New Orleans wrote this song "Peace." It's pretty powerful -- and I'm no sucker or pushover.

Full Documentary - Stupidity
"Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former." - Albert Einstein
The Future Looks Good
People's fascination for religion and superstition will disappear within a few decades as television and the internet make it easier to get information, and scientists get closer to discovering a final theory of everything, leading thinkers argue today.
The web magazine Edge (www.edge.org) asked more than 150 scientists and intellectuals: "What are you optimistic about?" Answers included hope for an extended human life span, a bright future for autistic children, and an end to violent conflicts around the world.
Philosopher Daniel Dennett believes that within 25 years religion will command little of the awe it seems to instil today. The spread of information through the internet and mobile phones will "gently, irresistibly, undermine the mindsets requisite for religious fanaticism and intolerance".
Biologist Richard Dawkins said that physicists would give religion another problem: a theory of everything that would complete Albert Einstein's dream of unifying the fundamental laws of physics. "This final scientific enlightenment will deal an overdue death blow to religion and other juvenile superstitions."
Part of that final theory will be formulated by scientists working on the Large Hadron Collider, a particle accelerator at Cern in Geneva, which is to be switched on this year. It will smash protons together to help scientists understand what makes up the most fundamental bits of the universe....Read More
