BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A local attorney says Louisiana is a prime target for an embarrassing lawsuit because of new legislation clearing the way for classroom materials that could support creation-based science lessons.
Local attorney, Michael Wolf, says the Louisiana Science Education Act would allow misinformation in state science classes because it makes it okay for teachers to use their own materials.
As long as the school board first approves of it, Wolf says the new law opens the door for teaching based on personal feelings instead of what he calls strict science based on Darwin's Theory of Evolution.
