Why does the Democrats keep giving this administration everything they want? No wonder their approval rating is in single digits. What I do not understand, is that the Republicans never give in. It is always their way or the highway. This is the exact reason Clinton had to shut the government down during his terms to get anything passed.It is that gang mentality. They want to play sides. They always take up for their own team no matter what they have done.
Giuliani was on the news this morning speaking very highly of John McCain. I was thinking and realized if Hitler was the Republican nominee for President of the United States, Giuliani would be praising him also like he was Jesus.
If you vote a certain way because of your party affiliation, color of skin or what candidate is closer to God, then you are a moron and deserve what ever crappy leadership you get...ie: Bush.
Bush Readies Pen; Relishes in Signing Wiretap Bill
WASHINGTON - President Bush is poised to sign a bill that overhauls the bitterly disputed rules on secret government eavesdropping and grants immunity to telecommunications companies that helped the U.S. spy on Americans in suspected terrorism cases.
The Senate sent the measure to the president on Wednesday and he is to sign it in a Rose Garden ceremony Thursday afternoon.
The bill was a victory for Bush. Its approval came only after a lengthy and heated debate that pitted privacy and civil liberties concerns against the desire to prevent terrorist attacks. It ended almost a year of wrangling in the Democratic-led Congress over surveillance rules and the president's warrantless wiretapping program initiated after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.
