GM May Sell Mini-Cars

Not till their profits begin to hurt will they change their ways. The fact that GM is saying they "may sell" is an unbelievable statement. No! You should sell.

Good ole' American greed. It is costing us the "supposed" American dream. It is costing us our enviroment. It is costing us our way of life. Worst of all, it is costing us our childrens future.

Now that's fuckin' greedy!

I find it amazing we will not find alternative energy sources, even though there is every reason to do so. American greed has blinded us so much that we actually still say things like "those wildfires in Cali are possibly global warming". Even though by summers end there will be no ice around the north pole.

Even that, people do not want to believe. They think you are kidding or being sarcastic. Yea, the world is coming to an end. LOL or LMAO - Which ever you prefer...

May our ignorance not be our downfall (which we know it will be).

GM May Sell Mini-Cars to Fuel-Conscious U.S. Buyers

General Motors Corp., which popularized the 7,800-pound Hummer, may begin selling a mini-car more than a foot shorter than anything else it markets in the U.S. to win back buyers deterred by record fuel prices.

GM may bring the production version of the Chevrolet Beat to the U.S., people familiar with the plan said. The car, which would normally be reserved for markets such as Asia and Latin America, gets as much as 40 miles a gallon, a fuel efficiency topped in the U.S. only by hybrids.

The possible American introduction of the Beat would be one step in a fleet downsizing and shift away from fossil fuel-based vehicles that the people said is already under way at Detroit- based GM. Resigned to $4-a-gallon gasoline and stricter pollution rules, the largest U.S. automaker has recognized that its response must go beyond the mothballing of large truck plants, the people said.
